The Resonance Phenomena in Perception Games

چکیده

The mathematical formalism of interactive games, which extends one of ordinary games [1] and is based on the concept of an interactive control, was recently proposed by the author [2] to take into account the complex composition of controls of a real human person, which are often complicated couplings of his/her cognitive and known controls with the unknown subconscious behavioral reactions. This formalism is applicable also to the description of external unknown influences and, thus, is useful for problems in computer science (e.g. the semi-artificially controlled distribution of resources), mathematical economics (e.g. the financial games with unknown dynamical factors) and sociology (e.g. the collective decision making). Recently, two proper classes of the interactive games were introduced: the verbalizable interactive games [3] and the perception games [4]. The first class appeared as a result of the interactive game theoretical description of dialogues as psycholinguistic phenomena and the second one was obtained as such description of perception processes and the image understanding. Each perception game is a verbalizable interactive game. This article is devoted to a new proper subclass of interactive games, namely, to the kaleidoscope-roulettes. Kaleidoscope-roulette is defined as a perception and, hence, verbalizable interactive game, whose hidden dialogue consists of quasirandom sequences of “words”. The resonance phenomena in such games are investigated. Though kaleidoscope-roulettes are naturally associated with an entertainment their real applications may be far beyond it due to their origin.

The Effectiveness of Computer Cognitive Games in Reducing Attention Deficit- Hyperactivity Disorder Symptoms and Improving Time Perception in Children

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of computerized cognitive games on reduction of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms and time perception in children with ADHD. The present research method was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test design with a control group. Thirty students with ADHD were selected through purposeful sampling from elementary school stude...

A Study of the Correlation between Computer Games and Adolescent Behavioral Problems

Background: Today, due to developing communicative technologies, computer games and other audio-visual media as social phenomena, are very attractive and have a great effect on children and adolescents. The increasing popularity of these games among children and adolescents results in the public uncertainties about plausible harmful effects of these games. This study aimed to investigate the co...

The Subjective and Corporeal Perception of the Cinematographic Frame According to Kantian Viewpoint

The cinematographic frame is a boundary which separates the image from the external world. From an ontological viewpoint which dates back to Greek philosophy, the boundary of a thing separates it from other things, thus leading to its ontological independence from other things. But, according to this point of view, the being of things as external objects is considered to be free from the impact...

Tactical Games Behavioral Self-organization

The interactive game theoretical approach to tactics and behavioral self-organization is developed. Though it uses the interactive game theoretical formalization of dialogues as psycholinguistic phenomena, the crucial role is played by the essentially new concept of a tactical game. Applications to the perception processes and related subjects (memory, recollection, image understanding, imagina...

Asymmetry and Disorder: a Decade of Parrondo’s Paradox

In 1996, Parrondo’s games were first constructed using a simple coin tossing scenario, demonstrating the paradoxical situation where individually losing games combine to win. Parrondo’s principle has become paradigmatic for situations where losing strategies or deleterious effects can combine to win. Intriguingly, there are deep connections between the Parrondo effect and a range of physical ph...
